Intro: For children and young adults looking for a fun and non-competitive opportunity to pursue Irish Dance, this is the class!
Focus: This class focuses on beginner-advanced solo material, group dances, and show dances. Class Time: September - May: Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30pm.
Location: 1610 Sunset Avenue Lancaster PA 17601. (Please note that this is an at-home studio. Patrons may park along the street.)
Cost: $10 per student per class payable on an as-you-go basis.
Performances: Dancers will have the opportunity to purchase costumes and perform in shows if they wish to; however, it is not required.
Class Clothing: Shorts & a T-shirt. Bring a Water Bottle! Competitions: If your child decides they would like to pursue competitions, they may transfer at any time to the Paloma School of Irish Dance.
Teacher Bio: Christy Martin
-Christy was home-schooled her whole life and graduated from high school with "The Tapestry of Friends" Home School group in 2015. -She began Irish Dancing at age 6 and began competing in Irish Dance at age 17 and qualified for the Championship level after just 6 months. -She takes dance lessons at the Paloma School of Irish Dance (a competitive school.) -Christy plays the fiddle, the cello, & the bagpipes. -She performs with her family band "The Celtic Martins" all over the East Coast. www.celticmartins.com/ -Christy performs with her sisters in a jazz-era singing trio. www.martinsistersband.com/ -Christy loves teaching Irish Dance and has taught for several years in various home-school co-ops.
